monday

It was the first day of spring. Lot of good it did me. Because I was inside working. So I went up and down the hall discussing that it was the first day of spring. Some thought it was the 21st or even the 22nd. Moves around I think. Someone said it was the Persian New Year.

My work limped along. Must get smarter and more agressive besides. By Friday. (My favorite tennis writer, Vic Braden, was always saying that if you did this or that you would 'be famous by Friday.')

Our buddy Jim was in town from San Antonio and spending the night. Talked to him but then we had a dinner date with some guys who are selling a condo downtown. We are interested in buying it and holding it. Know how you are supposed to simplify when you get older? Move to a smaller place? Wouldn't it be cool if you could walk to lots of neat stuff in the bargain?

Back home and disccussed the state of technology with Jim. He always has some interesting new ideas. And our work is pretty different so that is interesting.

Since I've nothing much of interest to say, I'll just comment on this picture from the Sunday dog walk. As you can see, the pickup is brightly painted on one side The other side is flat gray. SuRu and I imagined a robbery where the getaway vehicle is masked simply by being seen from the other side. Why would someone do this paint job? Because it is Austin, I suppose.

The world is full of things to see and do. Some are stranger than others. And a lot of them are right here in River City.
