return of the mom unit

Took my car to the Honda place for a minor maintenance and an inspection sticker. It's always something.

Work is OK. I go to a lunch time seminar on elder care. It's pretty worthless, all in all. Common sense stuff. It is conducted by these people who are paid by the company to provide phone and in-person counseling to employees on a limited basis about legal, medical, emotional stuff. Seems like a racket to me.

I talk to mother several times. She's feeling good but can't escape the hospital until she sees a doctor. Finally, I hear that she is home. SuRu takes me to retrieve my car. She stops by the house to say 'Hi' to Mom and give FFP a card. Another birthday? Surely not.

Mom feels up to eating at Luby's and Dad takes her there and they get a prescription filled.

FFP and I go off and celebrate his day with a 1990 Duckhorn Merlot, some excellent Zoot food and a brief stop at Four Seasons for some Rebecca tunes.
