"I never feel age...If you have creative work, you don't have age or time."

Louise Nevelson

back to the grind

It isn't easy going back to work. I've really been into having fun, working hard at it you might say.

I get so desperate for organization and calm that I make a sort of graph or model of all the things I have to do or I'm worried about. Then I try to concentrate on one thing at a time.

I do take the time to stop by my parents for lunch. Mom serves up some ham and spinach casserole and salad. I try to make some sense of e-mail with her. She is doing OK, though. The scary thing is all these browser screens she has up like she's been punching around.

Dad says the remote on the big TV doesn't work. I put the batteries in the right way and magically fix that.

When I come home from work, FFP has a great spinach, bacon, bleu cheese salad ready and has a chicken stuffed with herbs cooked. Some merlot open, too. This is the life.

I've been thinking a bit about the journal. What is it? What does it mean? Is it a work of art? Is it a self-indulgent tirade? One thing it does...it doesn't allow you to escape the relentless passing of time. A page a day. It can't be ignored.
