"There is no greater sorrow than to recall a time of happiness in misery."

Dante , Divine Comedy

almost on track

I make it to work. I'm on time for my 9AM meeting. The time to spare to find it even. I'm not 100 percent but I'm much better and I can talk although everyone notices a decidedly croaky quality to my talking.

I call the parents at lunch but they aren't home so I go to Borders and eat a chicken wrap and read the Chronicle. Everywhere there are articles about the dot comedy collapse. From reading the Chron, it seems even the slackers participated in the upswing but are suitably happy to go back to scratching for rent money. Being poor is an art. Being rich, done well, even more so.

FFP makes fish, baked tomatoes and Caesar salad. I am a slug so he even cleans up (usually my job). I sit and doze, paying no particular attention to either TV or newspaper. I think I'm still on the recuperation trail. But I feel like a lazy slug.
