the truth is...

There is a true thing somewhere. And one day I'll find it. Not today.

I find I say things in my journal and then to FFP and he has this look that says, "I already heard this." (Silently, I am saying, 'but only because you read the journal.')

Today SuRu and I went to Edge City. My favorite fast food. She had a cheeseburger and I had a vegie burger. She ask for a styro cup so she could take the soda away. It had a large hole in the bottom. That was the day's excitement. That and finding the perfect, shaded parking place at the Arboretum center when we went to the restaurant. We walked through Barnes and Noble after. I didn't buy anything. But I almost bought some audio tapes off the remainder shelf. But a Nancy loaned me some Italian lesson tapes. And I should listen to those.

People are surprised at deadlines. And then it's an excuse to put the onus of meeting it on someone else.

Sometimes you just need to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth. As best you remember it, anyway.

My retirement talk inspired a note from a friend who gets teacher time off but still wishes to retire and can't. People read this, you see. And not just you. Scary.

Came home tonight and had cheese and wine with FFP. Mom called because Pinball took over her computer. This happens from time to time.

"Have you tried the escape key. Upper right, says E-S-C?"

The truth is that I no longer know why I'm doing what I'm doing. But inertia just keeps me going down the road.

Bowling memorabilia. No reason, just sorting pictures. (Dart Bowl. Austin. In case you were wondering.
