active

I just feel more active these days. I'm up and doing things more often than, well, just sitting.

I considered doing a workout before or after I played tennis. Admittedly the tennis wasn't much in the way of exercise. It's not like I really run after balls or anything. I'm in good shape so what I do on the tennis court doesn't seem like much. Well, maybe I'm not in good shape...just better shape than I was. Anyway, I just played three sets of tennis (6-0, 6-1, 6-2). So, not that many games.

Then I swept the back patio, cleaned the furniture there and hosed everything off as well as fiddling around with watering some pots and fooling with the ponds and fixing some flood lights.

Then we went to a pool party. I lolled in the pool and sat around. I was longing to do a little more. To move. So I swam a little and Jon, our host, set up this little poolside basket and we tossed this little ball in it. I tried this from the deep end. It wasn't that much exercise but it was some moving. That was good.

I like to be moving these days. I wish I'd gotten my regular routine done today with exercise bike and weights but, at least, I was sort of active.

JUST TYPING

Active stuff.
Feeds itself.
The more you do.
The more you want to do.

Food Diary.

Four pieces of turkey bacon at 35 calories each.

Some citrus sections out of a jar.

A bunch of cheese and crackers.

A diet soda and a sweet soda.

Some wine.

Barbecued chicken and sausage and German potato salad and tomato and mozzarella.

A little Scotch.

Time flies....

We were at this party for a long time (about six hours) but it was fun and not boring because we got in the pool and ate and talked and watched Sex in the City.

Reading.

Still reading Why I'm Like This memoirs by Cynthia Kaplan. She's funny and I'm eager to finish it for some reason even though I didn't have my bike time to read today.

Hey...I have an active lifestyle...when would I sit down and write?

Exercise

Tennis?

Yard Work?

Playing in the pool?

Well, I don't know.

Felt physically good today.
