Still didn't shoot anything today. So here's a picture of my friend Rosemary at the pool party.

renewed ethusiasm..and cooler air

I continued cleaning today but doing more with an air conditioner helping out was a winning idea.

I decided that three hours of sweating at the club and working in a hot garage had rendered me a little weak in the knees (and head). So, today's strategy was to delay going to the club and work around here from the get-go.

My go got up about seven. I spent some time working on FFP's computer stuff and then I attacked the storage room. I sorted out stuff to go to my ever successful curbside mall. I collected up small boxes for Dad to keep until we can get all Mom's miniatures packed. I sorted out a bunch of cheap vases for Dad to donate to the church. (They recycle sanctuary flowers as arrangements for the sick.) I threw things away, I put things on shelves and in cabinets, I swept.

After some lunch I moved up to FFP's office and attacked more stacks, put things up, cleaned up the counter around the sink, stuff like that. Then I cleaned out the floor of the pantry so I could get to stuff easily in there.

It took a surprisingly long time. It was after four when I got to the club. Really my only breaks were for a quick lunch and to load the stuff in Dad's car and sit down with him for a cold glass of water and talk a minute.

At the end of the day I broke off and went to the club for an hour on the exercise bike. I felt tired but I got through it. I ran an errand to the cleaners after that but didn't feel much like thinking about anything but putting my feet up after that. Even talked FFP into going out to eat which, I think, we both enjoyed. (34th Street Cafe was full of people we know from our club and the food and wine were excellent.)

JUST TYPING

I feel bad that I don't
have unlimited energey.
Still...on my feet all day
I can say
It didn't hurt that bad.
I'm in better shape.
But, suddenly, expecting
Something more.

Food Diary.

Four pieces turkey bacon.

Some cheese, a little cheese, maybe two ounces or less.

Some carrots.

A banana.

Gazpacho.

Chinese Chicken Hacked Salad at 34th Street. (It had shredded lettuce, chicken strips, some other stuff like red cabbage and those crisp Chinese thingies with a chile sauce.

One small piece of bread with a smear of butter.

One half of a bottle of Pinot Noir.

Time flies....

I can't believe today's activities took as long as they did. I actually took more breaks than I admitted in my essay...to read my e-mail and such. But not many. Cleaning, sorting and straightening up is very time-consuming.

Reading.

Mary Gordon's The Rest of Life was the bike book. It seems that I've read Kaplan's book and this one while trying to actually decide on a next book.

Write? With a successful curbside mall going? Nah.

Exercise

One hour on exercise bike.

Felt better today but just not great. Emotionally, that is. Physically after initially feeling my knee or leg was strained I felt fine and that soreness disappeared. I seem so physically healthy that it is disgusting.
