out of the ordinary

A day of ordinary things, a little transformed.

Well, first I had an appointment at the club to have a gal train me to do a travel exercise routine. But it was a holiday so it was no ordinary Monday and FFP was in a different groove. Because of the holiday, the club was having a party around the pool and a DJ was playing CDs and they had a buffet in the cafe next to the gym.

I thought, originally, that I'd do my appointment and see haw tired that made me and then do something else but Forrest's aunt died Saturday and we had promised to take his parents to the funeral home at four.

So I did a workout before the appointment, almost like a normal workout except no aerobic after and then I worked with the trainer for an hour, mostly learning although she did make me go through the routine.

I actually got the floor of my office cleaned off today although some overflow stuff ended up in the guest room. Bad! Bad! Bad! But anyway my office looked different.

We ate dinner early with the parents and at Chez Zee where we rarely go for dinner although it's in our neighborhood. And, of course, quite fortunately, you don't go to a funeral home visitation every day.

A very ordinary day but just a little different.

JUST TYPING

The same stuff but...
different.
Just a shade away from ordinary.

Food Diary.

About 12pm
Grilled chicken breast, small Caesar salad, a little fruit salad, some tomatoes, a small grilled hamburger patty.

About 5:30pm
[Chez Zee]

Glass of white wine. A stir fry of broccoli, carrots, zuchinni and shrimp with rice and a sauce.

About 8pm
A Manhattan.

About 11pm

I very consciously avoided bread and olive oil with dinner.

Time flies....

In the evening I started watching a Hitchcock movie FFP had surfed to and then I had to pack and I felt a little rushed and I remembered that I needed to do the budge but that will have to wait. Oh. Well.

Reading.

Jules Verne's Paris in the Twentieth Centry is interesting in its hits (actors are celebrated even though there isn't much art in theater and moving pictures don't seem to have been imagined) and misses (there are no wars), prediction-wise.

I thought about writing a treatment for my documentary film. Then I thought about looking up how one might consider writing such a thing. I didn't. Look it up, that is. Or write it, of course.

Exercise

Treadmill, twenty-five minutes.

Lower body and arm exercises.

Ab exercises.

More abs.

A stretchy band routine and some stretches.

Felt good physically but a little depressed emotionally.
