scenic drive and preparation for going home

We take the first really scenic drive since arriving and I prepare to go home.

We have done lots of family dancing but not much 'touring.' While I'm sitting in the coffee shop in the middle of my walk, I think it would be nice to see some vistas. After my sister and brother-in-law get back from church, they suggest a drive. Dad and I enjoy the winding foothill roads, the vistas. I would have liked to have done more of this and maybe hiked in some of the parks. Maybe next time I'm here.

I also prepare for the big drive home. I'm ready to be home. We've decided on a two day route that lands us in the Wichita Falls area for an overnight.

But we drive on.

Time flies....

Walking, scenic drive, family restaurant with, well, the family.

Reading.

Two Sides of the Beach by Edmund Blandford.

Nothing. Well...I scribbled in my notebook again.

Exercise

Walked at least four miles. Did some stretches and sit-ups.

Mood is very mellow. Physically my back pain is just a memory. It's as if it slipped into my hip and leg and then disappeared. Both shin muscles are sore as if this muscle is needed in walking but not getting exercised in my normal exercises. My feet are also a little sore.
