"I would live all my life in nonchalence and insouciance
Were it not for making a living, which is rather a nouciance."

deadline

I banged away on my presentation at work and, at the end of the day, sent it off as a rough draft to the conference. I'm sure it's full of typos. I'll get those out of it for final draft. Time to take care of real business.

I had a phone meeting during which SuRu brought me a sandwich.

"What do you have to say about that Linda?"

"My mouth is full of sandwich."

It's about all I had to say, really. They are used to me at this job. That's the good thing.

After work, I stop by the parents' house. They have just had a snack, they say. Some graham crackers and apple. And coffee. Mom has been working with her loom. That's cool. We find weaving drafts on the WEB. Warp, weft, treadles. She is good at this stuff. We print the patterns out on her printer. They look cool.

At home, I have a healthy dinner of nachos with leftover chicken and some leftover wine.

The driveway guys have made a lot of progress. I think. There is rock on top of the scarred earth. The cat's still there, though.
