"It is doubtless a formidable advantage never to have done anything, but it can be carried too far."

Antoine Rivaroli , L'espirit de Rivarol

it's good...and the saltines work, too.

getting organized

SuRu is on the phone early enough. But neither party can convince the other that dog walking is a good idea.

We finally tumble out of bed at 9AM and drink coffee and read the paper. The weather is dreary and it reinforces our laziness.

I'm trying to get my office to that place. That neat, clean state where I can start working on great things.

My problem is that I'm an 'inside out' cleaner. I figure I have to start on the closet so that I will have places to put things away. This means that I spend part of the day going cutting up ten-year-old credit cards that I find in a box in the closet. The room actually looks worse as things go along.

Really, I've been trying to clean out the closet for weeks. I finally have about twenty-five percent of it organized. I managed to throw some things away. But I also managed to drag more junk out into the room, I think.

I start organizing photos at some point and decide I need some more plastic sleeves. FFP and I decide to go to the photo store and get some junk food.

I haven't been to Dart Bowl since it was actually on Lamar. It's over near McCallum High now. The cafe with the great enchiladas and hamburgers has been transported from the old location. I think the enchiladas are great and so does FFP although later his stomach begs to differ.

I've been a slug this weekend. But the good news is that I feel human again. My head isn't stuffed, my throat doesn't hurt, my ears aren't ringing.

I find out my sister is home from her latest surgery. Sounds like she's doing OK. It's been a rough couple of years for her.
