slightly under expectations

SuRu and I take a quick dog walk around Ramsey Park...short because of other obligations.

We go to the AGLIFF office but find that the table we bought at their charity auction won't fit in the CR/V. I make arrangements to come back with Dad's van and try it.

I shower up and SuRu and I and another friend go to the east side. A group of shops and businesses are having a kind of open house. Fire Island is demoing glass stuff, Circle in a Square has a ceramic sale, a ceramic supply store is open, a brewery is giving samples and tours. I have a taste of beer but no tour. We watch a glass cowboy hat being made. SuRu and our other friend are taking ceramics and they discuss the supplies and ceramics.

We decide to eat an east side lunch and go to Don Emilia's, a South American place. I have a delicious tamal. And a beer.

At home, a free evening stretches. FFP and I go to Vulcan Video and rent a couple of DVDs.

FFP and I go to Book Stop but buy no books. Then we go to Central Market and get some food.

At home we watch Auto Focus, that movie about the sad life of Bob Crane (of Hogan's Heroes fame) and then we watch a basketball game.

"On several occasions I have actually read parts of my diary aloud to someone. But too much 'publicity' is destructive to a diary, because the diarist begins, unconsciously perhaps, to leave out, to tone down, to pep up, to falsify experience, and the reason for the undertaking becomes buried beneath posings."

Gail Godwin, A Diarist on Diarists

JUST TYPING
One has an expectation.
Oh, to have none.
And be surprised.
But that isn't
Isn't life.
Isn't human.
