a glorious day once you peek out

It was supposed to be freezing this morning. I think it actually was freezing. Kept my head under the covers, figuring we wouldn't walk. SuRu calls, though, and we do. It's actually a glorious day. Helped her move bed before we walked. She's doing some painting, moving furniture around to accommodate.

We walk to Flight Path. Glorious Day, really. Felt good.

Ate two pieces of bacon on the way out the door for the walk. Ate a spinach and sun-dried tomato bagel and cream cheese at Flight Path. Coffee along the wan

At Flight Path...man carries baby. He's white, baby's not.

I have finished The Quiet American. I get to pick another book. What a pleasure.

My weight is stalled at under 170 a little. Maybe because I eat like a pig? I am able to wear 550 jeans with waist 34. Who knows...maybe I'll get to 501 size. Nah. Besides I don't have any 501's hanging around the closet.

I work on the journal, get a workout (bike+abs), have lunch (salmon and salad), and dinner (sausage and kraut) with FFP. Also eat tofu dip and Red Hot Blues in there somewhere. Finish the Shiraz from Central Market. My piggy diet. As I said.

I drink lots of water after walking, exercising. I got so sweaty that I can't go to bed without a shower.

We watch Six Feet Under and Boom Town and the Lady Longhorns play basketball.

"On several occasions I have actually read parts of my diary aloud to someone. But too much 'publicity' is destructive to a diary, because the diarist begins, unconsciously perhaps, to leave out, to tone down, to pep up, to falsify experience, and the reason for the undertaking becomes buried beneath posings."

Gail Godwin, A Diarist on Diarists

JUST TYPING
When you record what you eat.
Or most of it.
The shape of your body.
Is obvious.
