errands

Roadrunner is not working when I get up. However, support answers straight away and resets it from their end.

I have a workout. When I get back, Dad's here. I shower up and we go get the table. It fits in his van. Then we go eat a Reuben at New World Deli and go downtown and get him a handicapped parking pass.

I spend the rest of the day doing our personal budget, filing a dental claim for FFP, doing tasks like that.

We dine at Louie's 106 with our friends. It's a dying restaurant, FFP and I agree. The waitress is indifferent and the owner seems beaten.

We are lucky. So lucky. To be able to dine out. To be able to have our leisure. Well, mine anyway.

"On several occasions I have actually read parts of my diary aloud to someone. But too much 'publicity' is destructive to a diary, because the diarist begins, unconsciously perhaps, to leave out, to tone down, to pep up, to falsify experience, and the reason for the undertaking becomes buried beneath posings."

Gail Godwin, A Diarist on Diarists

JUST TYPING
Why are days reeling out?
Without accomplishment?
Because I don't do.
What counts?
Or don't count
What I do?
